Shabbat Selichot Schedule and All That

Dear Friends, Shabbat Shalom! Selichot and Many Important Happenings.

Due to the Importance of these services and events -the weekly Schedule follows on Sunday - This schedule is through Sunday 9/13

1. Shabbat Times for Shabbat Nitzavim- Vayelech - Shabbat Selichot
  9/11 - 9/12, 2020:


Candle Lighting  6:47 PM 

Evening Shema should be Recited (again) no earlier than 7:31 PM

Morning Shema on Shabbat 9/12 no later than 9:37 AM -Recite three paragraphs of Shema before Synagogue services.

This Shabbat we study the 5th and 6th  Chapter of Pirkei Avot, Ethics of our fathers

Shabbat ends and Havdalah is recited after  7:46 PM

Schedule of Shabbat Services

Friday Evening  9/11 @ 6:50 PM -  Services on South Side of Social Hall

Shabbat Morning 9/12 @ 9 AM - Service in Main Sanctuary

Shabbat Mincha Resumed !!! 9/05 @ 6:55 PM on Shabbat on North Side of Social Hall

Important:   
Recite all prayers (except Baruch She'amar)  before Mizmor Shir l'yom Hashabbat before arriving at Synagogue . We begin with Baruch She'amar and Mizmor Shir 

Selichot: We begin the Days of Awe in earnest with Selichot at 11PM on Motzei Shabbat  9/12
Services will be held Live in the Social Hall as well as on Zoom

4: Drive by Challah and Honey Cake on 9/17
We can't have you over at our home, or share a kiddush with you just yet so: 
Please let us know that you can come by the Synagogue on Thursday 9/17 between 5:30 and 6:30 PM to pick up a special Rosh Hashanah Challah and Honey Cake baked by Chanie. Please register for the pickup by emailing chanieyaffe@gmail.com
